ART 242 - Modern and Contemporary Art History

Survey of modern and contemporary art, architecture and design through illustrated discussions and readings. Modern movements and styles and their relationships are explored from late 19th century European art through the 20 - century to America. Also included are works of African American, Native American, Hispanic American and women artists, as well as art from China, Japan, Central and South America, India and Africa.
