Sports Psychology Learning Outcomes
With the completion of this degree program, the following learning outcomes can be expected:
- Students can describe the key concepts and principles of human anatomy and physiology as they apply to the human body and performance.
- Students can describe the key concepts and principles of sport and exercise psychology as they apply to the human mind and performance.
- Students can explain how physiological and motoric principles of performance affect the psychological aspects of an individual and their performance.
- Students can demonstrate an understanding of ethical standards and responsibility in creating a healthy learning environment for laboratory research and applied field experience.
- Using scientific inquiry and scientific reasoning students will demonstrate critical thinking to engage in (a) interpreting, (b) designing, and (c) conducting research in human physiology and/or psychology pertaining to exercise and sport performance.

Program Requirements (56 semester hours)
A Bachelor of Arts degree in sports psychology requires 120 semester hours with a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0, and a minimum major grade point average of 2.0. The sports psychology major requires successful completion of the following courses. Complete each of the following (56 semester hours):
